RI COVERTS Training
We are pleased to periodically offer workshop opportunities to private forest landowners in Rhode Island to learn about and help enhance much-needed wildlife habitat on their properties by becoming Coverts Cooperators.
The RI Coverts Project is an education program designed to help forest landowners promote the development of critical wildlife habitats using sound forest management practices that can make wildlife healthier, more diverse and abundant. Coverts or thickets are patches of young forest or shrublands created though forest management. The project has trained landowners from across the state through itsĀ workshop that focuses on forest ecology and stewardship, wildlife management and land conservation.
“Take the training – you will never think about wildlife the same again!”
Information on the next training will be posted here when the workshop is scheduled.
